THE BLESSING OF THE CHILDREN OF GOD

1 John 2:28-3:10

“Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when he appears we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.”

1. What kind of work should the children of God continue to do? (28a, 29) What kind of blessings do they have (28b)? What does it mean for our lives to be born of Him (29)?

2. How can we be called the children of God (3:1)? How come the world does not know us?

3. What is the hope we have as children of God (2)? Describe the glory of this hope (Ro 8:29,30). What kind of life will those live who have this hope(3)?
