MADE ALIVE IN CHRIST

Ephesians 2:1-10

Key Verse: 2:4-5

1. Read verse 1. What was our condition when we lived without God? (1)  What are transgressions and sins? (1Jn 3:4; Ro 3:10-12,23; 5:12-14) What does it mean to be dead in sins? (Isa 59:2)

2. Read verses 2-3.What are the “ways of this world?” Who is the ruler of the kingdom of the air? What are the consequences of sin? (Ro 1:18; 2:8) What does it mean to become the object of wrath?

3. Read verses 4-7. What did God do for us when we were dead in sin? Why? How has God shown us his great love, his rich mercy, his kindness? What is grace? What does it mean to be with Christ? (6;1:20)
   
   
4.  Read verses 8-9. What does it mean that we are saved by grace alone, through faith? Why can’t we save ourselves? (Ro 3:20) Why do we have nothing to boast about? (Ro 3:27,28)

5.  Read verse 10. What does it mean that we are God's workmanship? What does it mean that he created us in Christ Jesus to do good works? That he prepared them advance for us to do?
   
   
   
6. In what respect were we dead spiritually? What is the grace of God given to us?
