* HOW TO DEAL WITH THE SIN PROBLEM (1-19)

1. What warning does Jesus give to those who cause others to sin? How do people cause others to sin?

2. What two things must we do when a brother sins against us? (Rev.3:19) If his repentance isn't sincere, how often must we forgive him? Why? (Mt18:22)

3. How did the disciples respond to Jesus' command to forgive? (5) Why? What did Jesus teach them about the power of faith? (see Mk11:25)

4. What is the attitude we must have as servants of God? What does this mean? How does this attitude help us to forgive others? (7-10)

5. Whom did Jesus meet on the border of Samaria, and what did he do for them? How did they respond? Why did Jesus praise the Samaritan and rebuke the others? Why is it important to be thankful? (Ro1:21; 1Th5:16-18)

6. What was ironic about the Pharisees' question in verse 20?(Think about their practical lives.) What kind of kingdom might they be expecting? Think of some people these days who might be like them.

7. How did Jesus answer them? (20,21) What did Jesus mean by this? (13:18,19)

8. When Jesus comes again to establish his messianic kingdom, how will we know, and who will know? What warning does Jesus give about false messiahs? What are some of the false messiahs?

9. What must Jesus do before coming in glory? What must we do as we wait for him? In the light of his sure coming, how must we live? What was wrong with the people of Noah's time? (26-29)

10. What does Jesus teach about our natural attachment to material things? Why is this foolish? How can we prepare for Jesus' coming?
