  1. Read vs. 1-3. Who is the author of the Revelation and how is it made known to us? (1)  What is the main theme of it? (2,19)  Why did Jesus reveal it to us? (3)

 

 

 

 

 

 

  1. Read vs. 4-8. In the doxology, how are the Father, the Holy Spirit and the Son described respectively? (4,5,8)  How and why does Jesus make us to be a kingdom and priests? (5,6, Ex19:6, 1Pe2:9)  How will Jesus judge his enemy? (7) 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  1. Read vs. 9-11. Where was John when he received the Revelation? (9)  Why?  How would Jesus’ revelation help his people who are going through the fiery persecutions? What does Jesus tell him to do? (11)

 

 

 

 

 

 

  1. Read vs. 12-18. How are the characteristics of Jesus described here? (13-16, Da7:13,14; 10:5,6)  Think about the symbolic meanings of each attribute. In summary, who is Jesus who stands among his churches? (13,16,18) 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  1. Read vs. 19-20. What do the seven stars and seven lampstands symbolize? (20)  Why is it called the mystery? (Eph3:3-6) Think about how the symbolic mystery can be discovered in the study of the Revelation (1Cor2:13: Jn16:13).
