4.      Read vs. 20:1-6. How did an angel seize the devil and throw him into the Abyss? (2) What does it symbolize? (12:9,Mk3:27,Heb2:14,Lk10:18)  What is the purpose of rendering the devil powerless?  What is God’s plan about his future release? (3, 17:8;13:1,7,13;16:13)  How are the believers given authority to reign with Christ a thousand years? (6b,1:6)

5.      Read vs. 7-10. How has the devil work against the Lord after his release from the Abyss? (7,13:2,7;16:14)  What is the sphere of his battle campaign? (8,9)  How does the Lord destroy him and throw him into the lake of burning sulfur? (9,10) Think about how the Lord has destroyed all his enemies.

6.      Read vs. 11-15. How does the Lord judge after having defeated the devil and his agents? (11)  Who stands before the judgment seat of Christ?
