Dear All,
How wonderful it was to hear at our 2003 Leaders Conference that last year some of you started regular 1:1 parent-child Bible study (like the Yuns), and others regularly began or closed each day with the whole family reading the Bible and praying together (like the Ohs, the Chungs, and the Hollingers). As we start this New Year, let us continue to pray that God may be the center of our families by continually holding on to Ephesians 6:1-4:

Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. "Honor your father and mother"--which is the first commandment with a promise-- "that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth." Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord."

The children are our smallest, but very special, and most importantly, permanent sheep! May the Lord use our families and our CBF ministry to grow each one of these precious sheep in personal and deep faith in Jesus. The Lord has blessed them with dedicated CBF teachers who are eager and ready to serve them. So please share your prayer topics for your children with the CBF teachers. Lets communicate and pray together

Lastly, let us thank God for John Lee, who left for medical school in Granada. John faithfully served the children with much love since our CBF ministry began in 1998. One of the things we will especially remember is that John always encouraged the children with his favorite verse (or one of his favorite verses): 1 Timothy 4:12 - Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity. Lets pray for John and for his medical studies. Although he is going to be busy, I am sure he wont mind if you drop him an email (jmlee09@hotmail.com) to say hello and to encourage him to be strong and very courageous! Lets also pray for Mary Lim and Rebecca Lim who will now lead the pre-schoolers. Happy (Belated) New Year! Belssi
