1. What problem arose in Bethany? What was Jesus’ relationship to Lazarus’ family? (1-5; 12:3; Lk 10:39,40) What message did they send to Jesus? (3)

2. How did Jesus respond to the news? How are his love and his veiwpoint different from those of others? What can we learn from him?

3. Why didn’t Jesus’ disciples want to go to Judea? (7,8) What did Jesus say to them? (9,10)   How did Jesus view his death? (11,13)  Why could he do so?

4. How did Jesus help his disciples? (15)  Why decision did Thomas make? (16)  What was the attitude underlying this decision?  How is this different from faith?
